Hey let’s all remember that is intrinsically theft.

It takes the art of other people, does the visual equivalent of paraphrasing, and doesn’t cite its sources.

If it’s plagiarism if an AI does it with written work, it’s theft if an AI does it with art.

Btw have you heard WotC is making their newest book with AI Art?

So yeah, fuck em.

And before you come at me calling me hypocritical:

Theft from a giant faceless billion dollar corporation is literally the most ethical interaction you can have with aforementioned giant faceless billion dollar corporation short of pitchforks and torches.

Theft from artists that AREN’T billionaires hoarding wealth to an extent that they are choosing to starve entire continents… is not the same.

Anyway, I invite you to take a gander at the hashtag and make informed decisions about the people you find there.

And if you’re in that hashtag, and are pissed at me for saying all of the above, I defy you to convince me you’re not a thieving little bitch.

Also, you don’t have to be making money with AI Art to be a thief. Use of the tool gives the AI training, therefore making it even better at being a tool for theft, and it also probably gives the website data about you to sell.

@GlytchMeister By your logic anyone who studies art history and then goes on to make their own artwork is also a thief, since they have all those other people's images in their memory.
