If money could buy happiness, Elon Musk wouldn't be such an asshole.
@TheStorySmith I really don't believe that. I have been poor most of my life, and now I live comfortably, and while I acknowledge that being wealthy comes with stress, its not comparable to the stress, health impact and hopelessness of not being able to afford the minimum standard of life.
Being too wealthy becomes a problem when you live beyond your means, when satisfaction is determined by a constantly moving bar of standards.
This unhappiness is from not being content with what you have.
@DanIsWriting I've also done both sides of the tracks. Both are stressful in different ways.
@DanIsWriting Money is just stressful, whether you have it or whether you don't. The more you have, the more energy it takes to manage it. The less you have, you live in perpetual fear of not being able to keep up and pay your way.
