As a somewhat functional adult…
I never thought I’d have my hand in a bowl of cold cooked noodles sitting in ice water in order to describe tendons tearing.

My husband stared frozen in place before saying, “Do I need to hide the power tools?”
…last time I bought power cords and chopped them into tiny pieces. He threatened divorce. 🤷‍♀️

@awrene that's interesting, I've never heard of this.

@DanIsWriting yeah, it’s insane how much you can describe using household goods in certain situations.

@awrene oh, so do you ice your hands, and then try to use them for something to document the experience?

@DanIsWriting I just shove my hands in and squish away while flinging the noodles against walls and stuff. I typically only do it when I’ve hit a point in my writing where I need to experience what I’m trying to write.

@awrene I can't imagine what you're trying to experience 😂

It sounds totally demented, and I'm on board.
