I had actually forgotten how good “Swan Song” by Robert McCammon is. The writing is stellar, the story gritty, dark, graphic and engrossing. I’m loving every page. For a novice horror reader it’s a great introduction to the genre, although the book length might be intimidating.

Currently reading “Swan Song” by Robert McCammon. Post apocalyptic horror. America is blown apart by nuclear war, and those that survive are the unfortunate. The only hope in this desolate wasteland is a young girl named Swan, who has a gift that can heal the blasted land. The story and characters are fully fleshed out and compelling. It will capture you from the first line “Once upon a time man had a love affair with fire.”

Time to watch “A Christmas Horror Story”. Four horror stories bound together by William Shatner as a genial drunk radio DJ and the cursed town Bailey Downs during Christmas. It’s a lot of fun. From zombie elves to Krampus, it has everything.

Just a tip. Puzzle House by Duncan Ralston is currently only .99 on Amazon. I’m hearing rumors that the price will go up soon. He’s well worth spending money on.

Currently reading “I Saw Christmas Lights Slithering Up My Street” by Ben Farthing. It’s part of his “I Saw” horror series. What’s Christmas without a little Christmas horror?

Currently reading “Tales of Cthulhu Invictus” by various authors. Nine truly impressive historical horror tales in the Cthulhu mythos. An expensive book but well worth the cost. Actually better than “The Skinless Face” by Donald Tyson, which is saying a lot.

One of the books I bought today was “Death Dealer” by Ian Fortey, a Shane Ryan novel in the “Cult of Endless Night” series. Shane Ryan is one of my favorite book characters. All around whisky soaked chain smoking ghost hunter badass. He lives in a haunted house and interacts with every type of ghost imaginable. The books are quite enjoyable.

Currently reading “Girl From the Well” by Ron Chupeco. This is a book that will haunt you; about love and loss, death and vengeance, damnation and absolution. Evil struggling against good. It’s beautifully written. 5 🌟

Duncan Ralston announced that the ebook “Try Not To Die In Ghostland”, which is a choose your own path tie in to his horror novel “Ghostland” is currently free on Amazon. I died at a bit over half way lol.

Currently watching “Studio 666” with the Foo Fighters. I absolutely love this movie. Instant classic, a fabulous mix of horror and humor. The death scenes are way over the top. The soundtrack cooks. Lacrimus dei Ebrius is the best rock song in a decade. 5 🌟

I already finished “Echoes of the Night” by Ron Ripley. Total reading time of about 3.5 hours. Gave it 5 🌟 out of 5. Rip roaring series.

Got the new Shane Ryan book “Echoes in the Dark” by Ron Ripley on Kindle Unlimited tonight. My trial of KU expires the 28th. More than enough time to read it. So far it’s pretty damn good.

Thanks to son I was able to get a digital copy of “Ushers Passing” by Robert McCammon.it tells the horrific history of Edgar Allan Poes Usher family, and it’s evil servants. Very well written and engrossing, the story really comes alive.

Currently watching “Silent Hill” (2006, horror) I absolutely love this movie, especially Pyramid Head. It’s nearly perfect.

Currently watching “Winchester” (2018, horror) While it appears to have been seriously panned by Rotten Tomato’s, I actually love this movie. It definitely has the most effect on the first viewing. This movie is about Sarah Winchester and her amazing California mansion.

“Swan Song” by Robert McCammon is 3.99 on Amazon right now. Kickass. Pure magical dystopian goodness. I actually like it better than The Stand.
