I don't know how often this needs to be said....
Children do not belong to parents.
Children are on a constant spectrum of independence in relation to their family and society, it is crucially important that this is acknowledged and respected when forcing decisions on them.

That includes religion, misogyny, LGBTQ+, racism and disrespect for the planet.
We do not have the right to impose our flaws of character on our offspring.
