I have fallen for this song, Omoide, from Midnight Diner by Tsunekichi Suzuki. This is a lovely cover by Masumi Ako. This song is like the series, comfort food for the soul. https://youtu.be/Dx1SUGdA8YU
@BabyToaster I'm sitting here doing the same, all the while knowing that the internet and social media are killing creativity. https://www.jtellison.com/how-social-media-kills-the-creative-spirit
@Romquest Love the ripples. Is that a cormorant?
When we moved here, we decided to try to be part of the Homegrown National Park. We have 2.57 acres, mostly oak, white pine, hemlock, and birch woods. Our little yard was mowed 3 times last summer. I spent a lot of time trying to remove top non-native plants. #garden #nativeplants https://homegrownnationalpark.org/
@TheresaVermont Love this idea. I hope it grows!
@raspberrypanda Black Stilt?
@johnyap A lot of them seem to be choosing the window these days. Or is it the stairs?
This is my brain on chocolate.

@Remicat Please let me know when you find out!
It's a sunny Christmas day and finally above freezing! Listening to John Fahey's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Fantasy. Merry Christmas, All. https://youtu.be/VsFKq6SzlTQ

A truly Australian Christmas.
White Wine in the Sun

@Nimthiriel Thanks! That's one of my favorite Minchin songs and a lovely Christmas tune.
@gemswinc Sweet little Junco.
@AvaSpeaksUp Saline nasal spray a couple of times a day will cure that.
@Nimthiriel Although honeybees aren't native here, we do have wild honeybees. There are at least 3 hives in our pecan orchard now. No Killer Bees yet though!
@Nimthiriel That's true, but we also spray a lot of chemicals that harm them and we have decimated the wildflower population in favor of grain crops and destroyed natural habitats. I'd say it all balance out, except that. bee populations are on the decline worldwide.
@Nimthiriel I think the symbiotic relationship we have is parasitic symbiosis. I don't think we do anything good for bees. But I am grateful for their work.
@CelluloidBlonde Good reason to stay home and read a book. Where I live, they just sand the bridges & overpasses.
Just a tweety bird flying to a better climate and civil discourse. Liberal, environmental scientist, birder, woodworker, land-locked sailor.
