@misslovelymess Probably for the same reason that Halloween is my favorite holiday -- it's less commercialized. All you need is some costumes for the kids, some candy for trick-or-treaters and maybe a themed decoration or two.
And you're not bombarded with the same tired old novelty tunes year after year.
