A council representing Montreal and the suburban municipalities on the island decided Thursday evening to stop putting fluoride in the water of six West Island suburbs that have been treating their water since the 1950s.

@Coctaanatis Whatis being visited upon the very young ones to endure now due to ignorance makes me sick.
If your municipality stops fluoridating, ask your kids' pediatrician for prescriptions for fluoride drops/chewables. One of the counties around Philadelphia has never fluoridated, and parents have to pony up the money for it.
Really, so few people drink tap water now that at least your kids get the full intended daily dose if there's none in the tap water.
@AlphaCentauri @hapkidogal That's a valid point, although the beverages people drink are typically made from filtered tap water and contain fluoride.
That's true for products such as Dasani, sodas, sports drinks, and even beer.
