Despite promising to “abide by the results” ... Musk is yet to announce if he will step down as Twitter CEO after 57.5% of ... respondents voted in favor of the move.

...Musk and many of his supporters ... are now insinuating without evidence that the poll results were manipulated by bots.

Responding to a tweet that ... polls should be restricted to paying Twitter Blue subscribers, Musk responded: “Twitter will make that change.”

Still not convinced it wasn't a ploy to please his Saudi Arabian masters, but with Twitter Blue subscriptions vastly underperforming, it might have been a plan to introduce this idea.

I don't think it would have been popular on its own, but if he can convince people it's all about keeping the polls "honest," perhaps he can sell a few more subscriptions.

@nblumengarten I'm inclined to think that Musk has been in a yes-man bubble for so long that he can't imagine people will say "no" to him, so there must be a conspiracy thar altered the vote. Ergo, "bots."

@Coctaanatis

Sounds like someone else, I just can't put my finger on it...
