An island of wet wipes has formed in the Thames river causing British officials to ask people to stop flushing wet wipes down the toilet.

Not discussed, the only way wet wipes are making it from toilets into the river is if large amounts of untreated raw sewerage is finding its way into the Thames, which seems a bigger problem than people flushing wet wipes.
