CounterSocial is not automatic. There is no algorithm hand-holding your exposure to other people's posts here.
If you find that there are topics that you'd prefer to avoid, then it is on you to curate your feed accordingly. Setting up Filters in your Preferences is a great way to start. #CoSoTips

There's also a point to be made here about a social media site that is 100% populated by real people.
People talk about current events. Today, the results of pivotal elections in America are a big topic of conversation. You can help others to stay engaged with that topic by adding #politics to your political posts.
If you prefer not see those topics, add that hashtag and other relevant terms to your filters until they go away. #CoSoTips
