The flag in my display name is only there to help you know where I'm from. It's not a sign of unbridled patriotism.
I love where I live but I'm aware of the shameful side of our history too.

@ceruleanbagel Same; I like existing in Wales, I live where the NHS was conceived, but I take no pride or shame in the roll of a universal dice that resulted in my being born here, or the actions of others before me (to be fair, we Welsh have been historically inoffensive, aside from Neil Kinnock and bridge tolls that is 😂).
@ceruleanbagel Ebbw Vale boy me. I know Abertillery well! I watched public space CCTV for Blaenau Gwent for 11 years until it closed.
@Clavius_42 on me mum's side, grandma was from Wrexham and granddad from Abertillery.
