@Clavius_42 I used to watch this show (and a version of Miss Marple) on a channel back when i was still in high school. Always thought Basil Rathbone was great before that, but Jeremy Brett changed my mind. I still consider him to have done the absolute best portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. It's very sad that he became so ill while filming the show though. 😢

@ChillySnowgirl The last series can be difficult to watch, they'd have to stop sometimes to give him oxygen. Never the same after he lost his wife; was both married and in a long term affair with another male actor.
@Clavius_42 Oh wow, i didn't know any of that.😢 In the process of trying to find more work he'd done as an actor, that's how i found out about him being sick. When i saw the show, i thought his gaunt appearance in the last episodes was simply character immersion, (as the Sherlock stories would portray the char of obsessing about cases to the point of illness). Your news makes it a touch more sad.💔
