We may block out politics, and try to avoid the news, but it will still affect us. How much you want to know about possible impacts is up to you. I avoid all talking heads; even humor doesn't feel right. I choose articles in the Guardian, which for the moment, seems a safe place for news. I also look for Substack newsletters from trusted independents.

I have a library card. Love the library. They need our support more than ever.
@TheresaVermont @eliredman
We ave a really nice library. At least for now.
@CinnamonGirlE @TheresaVermont @eliredman
Me too.
@TheresaVermont @CinnamonGirlE You can access some really great things online with your library card. See what online services your library is hooked up with. You might be surprised.
@eliredman @CinnamonGirlE Unfortunately our Vermont library just doesn't have much, and they aren't connected to much, that's e-reader. Back in Michigan, we could get everything.
@TheresaVermont @CinnamonGirlE perhaps you can see why that is. Funding?
@TheresaVermont @eliredman @CinnamonGirlE
But then you have a Rockwell Museum - maybe even a couple of them.
@CinnamonGirlE @eliredman I just can't find enough ebooks at our local library here. The experience we had in Michigan was so much richer.
