Keeping BoBo and MTG in mind, this is my real world example.
Your job hires you in 2 year intervals to read contracts and say yay or nay on them. In the two years, you tell your boss the contracts are too long to read and vote no on them while you spend the rest of your time campaigning to be hired on for the next two years.
No fortune 500 company would tolerate that. But we do.
