21 days since principal sighting and the tipping point was reached today. So many teachers trying to get admin or security to come deal with issues, remove students, that no one was available. So we just bounced kids to a different classroom.
I was one, lost my shit and was yelling at two students to GET OUT. Not my finest teacher moment (but yeah deserved). Thankfully teacher next door heard me and came and escorted the students out.
Chaos.
@LaurelGreen Whatever is going on, they need to deal with it correctly and fast before a mass exodus of teachers leaves the kids with no school at all. 🫂🫂
@stueytheround the mass exodus has already happened. Its nuts, so many classes with no teacher, just a revolving door of subs. Those of us who stayed are clinging by bloody fingernails.

Im reading through, and I'm boggled. My mom was an educator for 40 years, and things were tough at times in the small town she worked in but there was always concern for the students and the teachers supported.
This is an awful occurrence. I admit to not knowing what to say. I want to ask questions like where's the Superintendent, or the board? But that's only going to feed my curiosity.
What's the best way we can be present for you now?

The area superintendent (we have about 5 who are directly below the main sup) is AT our school, doing all of nothing.
Thank you SO much just for listening. Teachers in my school ARE supporting one another, and students, but its nuts. I did the math today: 42% of my students are failing cuz grades, 58% failing due to excessive absences. I’ve never seen numbers like this.
