It has and if I'm honest I'm grateful that I'm here with my grandkids so I don't have to fly from Seattle anymore. I don't really "go" on vacation so I'm clear for now.

@Idissent @arthurpendragon I have been fortunate enough to be able to take some vacations in the past year and a half, thanks to a generous boyfriend. So flying is kind of a concern. But not enough to stop. 😉

There are about 45,000 flights within America alone everyday.

On an average day 2.9 million people fly.

The bad stuff is bad, but when you consider the ratio, the old song about air travel being safer than a car ride bears out to be true.

These rare flukes create moments of drama the press salivates over.

That said, Flight Attendants and airline workers 100% deserve so much better than they get.

All things considered, we are prob lucky worse things don't happen. No matter what, sometimes a flight is the only way to get there.
