Love is the a gift predicated on selfless giving. Some have a heart to give and yet forget to give to themselves due to various reasons (ex: never been shown the value of who they are).

Why we have to do the hard work of healing ourselves.
That is due to the onus being placed on the giver and/or victim.
The responsibility isn’t placed on the abuser or exploiter since they’re not going to assist their victims in any way. So..the hard work is given to the giver in order to remove control & power away from the exploiter/victimizer!

Undoubtedly. Why would they assist? They can't even help themselves.
We must manage our own expectations, triggers, and shortcomings.
Exactly! This is the road map to healing when on manages their shortcomings & triggers.
