@CinnamonGirlE I've been looking at ghost and other Autumn artwork for the past week now.π Also, this:

Same. Once the really dog days of summer hit, a little touch of that cheers my heart.
@CinnamonGirlE I lost both my dogs, and my father & aunt (who were the least like all the other members of my family), in the summer so the end of June through July (when they all died) is hard for me, plus i'm not a fan of summer heat AT ALL. Once we get to this point of the year i'm more than willing to look forward to Autumn....it feels almost like a gift.
@Christmas_Snow
I am so sorry. March is like that for me, but fortunately spring usually elevates me.
Pretty heat intolerant here too. Autumn is always like a little breath of fresh air. I appreciate it more every year.
@CinnamonGirlE I'm sorry about March being your hard time too.β€οΈ I figure i get the terrible weather and sadness all over at the same time. Autumn has always been one of my favourite seasons. It's cooler weather, but it also has a distinct feeling... i love the cheerful colours of the leaves & pumpkins, all the smells and flavours... just everything about it makes me way more happy. π

I think for so long I treated fall like the end of summer. When you are a kid, that always makes you sad. But then I grew to embrace it. The older I have gotten, the more heat intolerant. I have found good ways of coping living in the south, but by August. I am done. Weeds, bugs, humidity. I am more than ready to embrace Halloween and Thanksgiving. The NC mountains are pretty fabulous too.
@Christmas_Snow
Some years more so than others. But yes. I live very close to the parkway and it really is fabulous.
Halloween is always huge in my house, and Thanksgiving is the very best. All the beauty of family, friends and food and no pressure about gifts.
