Think this may be also referred to as watermelon tourmaline - just love it
Used to make jewelry and purchased a few much smaller stones

This is an beautiful specimen! Colors are so pure๐Ÿ˜!

@CinnamonGirlE gorgeous! ๐Ÿ˜ love those colors together Cinny

Came up w my screen name, Umba sapphire, during time period when making jewelry...it's another favorite. It's from the Umba River area of Tanzania. So many different colors (though using a different spelling of sapphire like I did... don't ask me why๐Ÿ˜ฉ now reminds me a porn star name lol ๐Ÿ˜…) ... anyway these are some of the colors of the Umba

@UmbaSaffire
I love how you came up with your name. And these colors are fabulous as well.

What kind of jewelry did you make?

@CinnamonGirlE oh ty! Made mainly earrings, some necklaces - like metal working & mixing different metals, some beadwork. Have a good collection of tools and supplies, hope to get back to it at some point, still have much to learn. Thx for asking.
