Second coffee. Watching the grands string lights and hang ornaments. I have never waited so long in getting everything together for Christmas. Pretty much all presents are bought and wrapped. Not doing the extravaganzas I always have done, and it actually feels good.

Since my kids were grown and I had grands, I have done multiple themed trees, matching paper, carrying many traditions forth. When my hubby passed, I lost enthusiasm understandably. We were a team. This year I was uncharacteristically late preparing due to sickness. I have seen the whole world doesn't unravel, and I am amazingly calm even though I am not ready and am only putting ornaments on today, lol. I figure the important things will get done and I only bought fun presents.
