Memories are complex. There are some we display openly like a collection of colorful vases filled with lovely blooms of the season, designed to show optimism and beauty. Representative of the hope and love we carry and want to share, so that others are comforted while in our presence.

Then there are the darker ones we shove into the box, locked and secure, hoping to never see the light of day. These are the ones we never share. We protect our loved ones from information that would hurt them, choosing to carry that pain ourselves.
And it is painful.
And heavy.
And lonely.
And deadly.
It literally kills us over time.
I want you to know.. I see you. I know you. I am you.
I love you regardless.
