Can apply to long distance relationships too. I've been with fiance a good chunk of my adult life, but our relationship is fundamentally different from ones I've had with local folks.
It's not for everyone, but then, nothing is. I know folks who I love talking to in person but can't stand over text. One of my boyfriends was one of those. 🤷♀️
