Why is it that so many people who say that they are anti-war are only anti certain wars by certain nations, but not wars by other nations?

@Render I'm an idealist and optimist. I am also a pacifist. I firmly believe that communication can bring peace and understanding. I believe in the good of people and that good triumphs over evil.

But I am realist enough to know that there are just some shitheads, evil or otherwise, in the world you cannot sway from their greed of money and power. And they won't go away without a "talk".

Is the war the answer? I don't know. Is it okay if you are doing it to save others?

@Render Could a double tap to a head of one person prevent thousands or millions from dying? If so, why can't we just isolate that one person instead of killing them?

I don't begrudge others who may think differently, thinking the violence is justified. I don't judge those who join the military or LEO who go in knowing they may kill.

I just know when I went target shooting, and hit 8s and 9s, it scared me and I knew I could never shoot to kill.

I only hold myself to my ideal.

Those who 'abjure' violence can do so only because others are committing violence on their behalf.
