Youngest child is home again from school.

- no appetite, but drinking plenty of liquids
- low grade fever at 100
- just starting scratchy throat and coughing
- no congestion
All she keeps saying is she's upset she's missing Algebra and polynomials.
@ChippySuave If she’s upset she’s miss Algebra & polynomials then she does need an expert (JK) Sounds really flu-ish take her in.
@carmahaz We are going this morning. I'll pay for a "let her rest and keep her hydrated" so we can have the doctor's note for school.
@ChippySuave no ‘excused’ without :-( (At least here). Hope she’s back up to quadratic equations soon.
@carmahaz Exactly. Anything more than a couple days and the school gets antsy about the absences. Which seems a bit classist to me. Not everyone can afford to see the doctor or go to urgent care just to have a note of excuse.
Luckily she loves math and has an A in the class.

THIS was a problem for me the entire time my kids were in public school...
I"M their parent... If I say they need to be home, that should be it...
Are there really parents out there that keep their kids out of school on a whim?
You know how every street has that one house that makes you cringe? We have that house kitty-corner from us. Their daughter attended same class as my daughter in 4th grade. It was the year my daughter was lactose intolerant and missed 27 days of school as we tried to find what was causing her pain. When I spoke to the teacher, she said not to worry so much.
The other child was absent 60+ times. The mother didn't care and we noticed the child was often left home alone. @carmahaz @InvaderGzim
@ChippySuave @carmahaz
Sigh... Those aren't parents...
This is one of the large problems we have...
Not-parents having children...
