@Tacitus_Kilgore This is true in all war. It is the true horror of war that innocents become "collateral damage". Every time.
The only question I ask myself that helps me deal with it is "Were the innocents deliberately targeted?"
I think of the bombings in the UK and Germany in WW2. Both British and German bomber aircraft deliberately targeted civilian residential areas. It was evil!
Nowadays, forces *tend* to *try* to avoid that, but there *will* be innocent casualties in war 😢
@stueytheround In this case though they had to have known that these guys would have been out and about and not all huddled in one room where they could be eliminated in one go. In this case, this is no different than dropping unguided bombs in civilian areas. @Ch3fchr1sto

@Ch3fchr1sto No. Definitely not cool. Nobody in their right mind *wants* that or likes it. Nobody with a heart sees it happen and doesn't hurt.
However, it's worth noting that nobody deliberately targeted those children. Israel wasn't *trying* to kill children. It's important to remember that.

Hamas are doing that. In Gaza. To their own. Israel isn't starving anyone. Even the UN has now admitted that.

@Ch3fchr1sto I don't know what to think, but a much-revered Jewish commentator in my area pointed out today, that like Hamas, Hezbollah purposely shelters themselves where there are kids, so it's their own fault that kids were hurt, that Hezbollah was the target, not kids. There were some people who disagreed with him.
@Ch3fchr1sto I'm also concerned about the solar panel thing although I have had no time to follow up or fact check it.
On top of which I now keep my phone on the other side of the room when I'm not using it. I'm not in a terrorist organization but I am a mouthy Dem scientist and single cat lady. And TFG did meet w Bibi recently...
