Knowledge doesn’t need to be erased to be lost. It can just get outcompeted by bullshit…

“3 December 1933 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Rosalia Elisabeth Bloemist, was born in Amsterdam.

In February 1944 she was deported to and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.“

“Elon Musk's Twitter is leaning heavily on automation to moderate content, doing away with certain manual reviews and favoring restrictions on distribution rather than removing certain speech outright, its new head of trust and safety told Reuters.” reuters.com/technology/twitter

Broke my glasses and I'm wearing my prescription safety glasses, looking like the kind of tool who still thinks Oakley style is in.

Elons big Hunter Biden scandal was literally the Biden campaign asking twitter to remove images and accounts that shared pictures of Hunters genitalia.

Which violates the TOS since Hunter never ok’d the sharing

And it’s tantamount to revenge porn which is illegal in numerous states.

Nothingburger is an apt description.

What if we're all immortal? We just spend a few trillion years between lives not existing. From our point of view, though, we experience a continuous string of births and deaths.

Herb Baurmeister was a serial killer of gay men in Central Indian/Indianapolis over 30 years ago. 25 men or more could have been killed but they’ve never been identified. I never knew that they were still unidentified. Hopefully we can get family to get their DNA tested to identify victims. #
How could we tell folks beyond Indianapolis know about this since victims families may not know?

The sign on the top was the one that has been there since August. One of the campus officers said, “but does it say to keep it locked and closed?” so, I added the second sign below it, because it seems the first one wasn’t enough.

I’ve decided that if it happens again, I’m going to coat the doorhandles in silver nitrate. So, if anybody touches the handles, it will turn their hands blue for a day or so.

I could also use KMnO3. That would turn their hands into a deep, purpleish color.

Have added this to all my lab doors because campus police will not stop opening my lab and leaving it open.

One actually said to me “but does it say to keep it locked AND closed?”

OMFG I have to hold their hands.

These same dudes felt the need to explain to me that I have to keep these doors locked because “you know there are dangerous chemicals in there, yeah? People can get hurt.”

Then why TF you leaving the doors open when you’re not supposed to be in there anyway?!

I think I’m going to have to call the lawyers at the college and have them explain to “campus police” that if an angry student gets a hold of 12 M sulfuric acid and throws it on another person because cops left the lab door open…the cops may not have jobs anymore because the college will be sued.

My favorite scenario is a bored smart kid who figures out how to build a bomb…because they’ve spent all night in an open chemistry lab mixing stuff stupidly. That’s nice. 😒

@Rickbflony I think they let in a cleaning crew…when that lab doesn’t need cleaning.

You’re talking about dudes that would drink something purple thinking it was koolaide

Trump is opposing a DOJ request to Judge Cannon to delay special master deadlines in light of the appeals court ruling throwing out the entire special master process.

Notably, Trump doesn’t indicate whether he will appeal the panel’s order.

FoxNews.com still hasn't reported the conviction of the Oath Keepers. Newsmax.com has belatedly posted a story, though it never appeared on the home page. OANN doesn't mention it anywhere. Breitbart posted some stories, but not on the home page. The reader comments blast Breitbart for hiding the story.

Happy Birthday to former Simpsons writer and former and current Futurama writer Ken Keeler. Imagine being able to say that you wrote The Simpsons episodes "Two Bad Neighbors", "The Thing and I", "A Star Is Burns" and ""El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer". And that doesn't even take into account the over a dozen Futurama episodes, including the second episode the moon based "The Series Has Landed".
