All life comes to an end eventually.

But when a young friend of much promise, who's been struggling with a potentially terminal illness for many years, now looks at what may be, without a new cure or sudden change in circumstances, the end of the line, it's difficult to be merely philosophical.

One can pray, of course, make wishes, or just hope. I guess everyone has their own approach to situations like this.

I should like to know how people of any kind of belief or conviction approach this.

pragmatically - take your lead from your friend. if he/she is simply living life as it comes, do the same

time enough to worry about the end once it comes
