when the percocet neither touches the pain, nor knocks you out, it makes for mental health challenges
@CdnChrisCo Now all you need is someone close to you, well intentioned, to suggest maybe the pain is psychological. I don't know what it is about humanity but unless you're suffering a "name brand" physical fear, like say ALS; everything else is in your head.
I rarely take them. Only when none of my other tricks work.
but when even the opiods fail, its a long long night
thanks for helping me not feel so alone in the midst of it all.
❤️
@MidnightRider @CdnChrisCo I’m sorry you’re both saddled w/chronic pain. I’m up with you for the same reason. I wish us all eventual sleep and to wake refreshed enough to seize another day🌺
@nopuppet_007 @CdnChrisCo Thank you. I feel gratitude, I can still walk, most days a couple of miles on the trail. Most cyclists hit by a left turn into their path die, at the very least lose ambulatory function. "I'm a goddamn miracle of modern science doc", like RP McMurphy.
I was just too stubborn to give up during rehab - crushed right arm and multiple nerve damage sites- went from full right side paralysis to mild case of radial nerve palsy after 2 1/2 years of a lot of tears and sweat equity
mild in terms of ROM, but the nerve damage symptoms are another story altogether
I'm grateful for my recovery most day. Its nights like these though that make me lose my grace
@CdnChrisCo @nopuppet_007 I have nerve effacement too. Sometimes it feels like someone is burning specific toes while simultaneously plugging my foot into a 120 socket, only those who know really know.
@nopuppet_007 😘 ❤️
@CdnChrisCo I only use mine for emergencies too. 90 days supply lasts me 9 months and yet people in this country still want to take them from me. I know what the "events" feel like. Ride the storm out friend, it will subside eventually.
