I always feel a bit off in the stomach when I see travel bloggers I respect spending money in places like Saudi Arabia.

You do know how women are being treated there, right? You do know that gays, dissidents, protesters, and trans people are being killed by the state there, right?

Howcum if some asshole politician grabs a bunch of people off the street w/o telling them where they're going & ships them cross country to strand them someplace unaware they're coming & isn't prepared for them, it's a cute stunt, but if I do it it's kidnapping & a federal crime?

We need to start seeing some criminal charges for the ones responsible for this. Lying to people and dumping them off on your political rivals' doorsteps to annoy them, with no food, shelter, or weather appropriate clothing is vile. The fact that many of these migrants are children makes it even worse.
