@Keysalagain @John_Ripley @Lulz4l1f3 My friend’s Zager 900ce is not labeled as “Made in America” I assume it is “parts manufactured in Indonesia; assembled in the US”. Fit & finish are virtually flawless. It had a little hump at the 13th & 14th frets, the saddle slot is cut a little too low & the saddle’s B & E slopes needed a sharper edge (buzzing). I had to file all slots on the bone nut. It sounds good, rich but not open. I was able to low action & .004” 1st fret clearance without buzz.

@CanisPundit @Keysalagain @John_Ripley @Lulz4l1f3 Zager started out putting his setup on and rebranding Sigma guitars. His setup system, while not everyone's cup of tea, is the selling point (tone, as you note, nothing special...) so it's disappointing it needed tweaking.

I totally agree and I was muttering similar as I worked on it. A 1st fret barred F chord should be as easy as moving the form to higher frets. The nut was slightly notched. I also had to file in some fall off to the higher frets.

Think Volkswagen Jetta with a high end paint job and wheels. 🤣
