A gleaming red Barchetta from a better vanished time. I restored a 1985 Toro snowblower gifted to me by an old neighbor who arrested and guarded John McCain on the USS Forrestal.
It broke down many winters ago and I bought a new Troy-Bilt. So today my inner Tim Walz installed a new carburetor, replaced the spark plug & a belt, changed oil, greased the transmission and it’s good to join active duty for Stormwatch 24!

@CanisPundit "...arrested ... John McCain on the Forrestal"? Was that before or after the wayward missile that started a fire that burned through 4 decks and killed dozens of sailors, some still asleep in their bunks?
I recall the incident was, for some years, blamed on a pilot tripping on acid. It's been found, however, that an electrical fault caused the errant missile launch on the Forrestal's flight deck. McCain can be seen jumping out of his plane and running across the deck.
@POOetryma great question! I don’t recall and I don’t think neighbor Bob is with us anymore to answer. My recollection is the arrest he referenced was for fighting. McCain was also known to blast his jet engines on deck while others were nearby (Navy personnel could know the slang for that).
