@th3j35t3r anecdotally my experience is CoSo demographics skew Center-Left, over 40, maybe a close male:female ratio & college educated or just bright, engaged self-educated post high school.
This isn’t Twitter where disagreement is more black & white, it’s shades of grey who may generally agree 70%; with nuanced disagreement on 20%, & 10% ain’t budging. In other words, kinda like the Democratic Party. The mediation is existing agreements and shared outcomes vs positions & you’re Nancy Pelosi.
Great analysis. I have guessed much of the data you offer. The 10% not budging can get very argumentative. That’s why we have tools.
@LnzyHou @th3j35t3r nuance is a nuisance to people stuck in a firm position. Verbal discussion is better suited than social media posts. What could be clarified in the rapid verbal exchange could take an hour going back and forth in posts. Who really wants to do that? I write longer posts because I’m trying to express nuance, but I’m not going to write a manifesto or get into a protracted posting exchange. There’s no percentage in that.
