Winter tires folks. All seasons won't cut it.

@Throbulator_the illegal here. You have until a certain date (I don't drive, so I have no idea what it is) and then you get ticketed.

@Camerondotca I think you are referring to studded tires? I'm talking about winter treads. More aggressive than all season tires. You do need to take them off for summer as they are a softer compound rubber and will wear out in no time. So you also need a summer set. It's expensive but worth it here in Winnipeg.

@Throbulator_the nope. You are not allowed to use all seasons after a certain date. You legally must change to winter tires. Studded are a gray zone.

@Throbulator_the quebec has provincial accident insurance scheme (again, I don't drive, so I have no real understanding of how it works) so they have a bigger stick to use for mandating things like this.
