Okay, smart people: I'm looking for recommendations of a tool for flowcharting. NOT something where you DRAW this or that object on a blank CANVAS (most of what I'm finding out there)...more where you list steps/bullets and decision points, and the widget is smart enough to lay it out for you.
Thoughts?

This will probably be of no help whatsoever, but there used to be a software package for Macs that was both a text based system AND a graphic system. You filled in all of your lists, then switched modes and it was transformed into graphics. Unfortunately, I was using this more than 30 years ago and now can't even remember its name. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you might be able to find a much newer version of that hybrid text/graphics package.
