I had no doubt about who is pushing RFK to run.
Today I went to a home goods store for a new garden hose spigot.
Going back to my car I was approached 3 different times by people. Two in Trump tee shirts the third wearing a MAGA red cap. They wanted me to sign a petition to get RFK jr on the ballot in IL. As I was leaving counted and there must have been 20+ in the parking lot making sure they missed know one. Didn't sign but suggested I would if it were a petition to commit hiim.
The spirit of the candidacy petition is that the signatory supports the candidate in fact as well as in principle ~ it's a measure of SUPPORT for that PERSON and that person's PLATFORM, not just support of "having candidates on the ballot." So, I don't sign the candidacy papers of anyone I wouldn't vote for in the election itself.
@CLManussier I think it may have been the only time I was asked, outside of Democratic precinct offices and other contexts where I was essentially volunteering. There was a special savor to saying no. @Lucky188
