It turns out to be a little more nuanced and less klepto than the headline suggests. The guy who acquired them for this thing at the WH got them back after the event was over, and then didn't return them (pandemic was on by then), later took them to Mar-a-Lago and loaned/gifted them to the by-then former President...? The intermediary would seem to be the principal problem.
Oh, sure, but THIS ONE TIME, it wasn't the Tangerine Mussolini light-fingering stuff in his way out of the Oval. Some other irresponsible party failed to do as he should have and now they're God knows where in that tacky ol' "club." Stored beside the pool filter or in a broom closet, probably.
@CLManussier @QueenPhillippa If I were to purchase a stolen car from a criminal, I'm pretty sure I would be obligated to return the stolen property.
Just because he has people do the stealing for him does not mean he isn't culpable.
