although i have been one of the ones thinking Elon bought it to sink it. since he makes and has made so many ridiculous and anti-democracy comments, i thought it was an Occam's razor thing.

Whereas, I see the Occam's Razor answer as "He thinks he's a genius, but he's not." Also, rich people w/significant diagnosable conditions often don't get help because they're surrounded by sycophants, not ppl willing to intervene. They can be eccentric mad geniuses instead of someone in need of medication and therapy.
Bottom line, he was born on third & thinks he hit a triple, and probably everyone in his life has validated that belief. #PrivilegedNotBrilliant
that there has been a huge public unmasking of his genius myth (a false myth) is great.
or, this could also be his "people just don't like my paintings" moment.
@CLManussier @peeppeepcircus I agree with all this. And based on his takeover of Twitter, there may have been people around to help him. But he would just drive them away. Certainly he is even more deluded about his brilliance than the media is.
