PREVIEW - I've noticed a lot of folks after leaving Twitter saying they can't get used to the column layout on https://counter.social - so coming soon (prob within a week) in both light and dark modes you'll be able to optionally switch to this mode if it helps with familiarity....

This might be the inducement I needed to use a browser tab on my phone instead of the app! The layout is quite lovely....

You hate it, and yet you bust your butt making it an option for the kind of people who flit in and don't give the current set up a chance before bitching about it. You prioritize making them feel comfortable enough to actually settle in properly.
And that's the difference between a social media site that exists to provide a service to its users, as opposed to one where the users are there to be exploited by the social media site.

It's quite absurd that people say they don't want to come here because they don't know who you are. To know who you are, they only need to see what your priorities are.
