Of course, because it's Wisconsin, it's going to be a TON of concervative PAC money and then people like me working to make sure that every "occasional" voter knows what's at stake and how/when/where to go vote!

@CLManussier What concerns me is that the GOP has such a massive edge in Wisconsin in judicial elections that do not occur during major national races. There are 85 radio stations blanking the state (especially rural areas) with RW talk that often airs before &/or after farm reports & sporting events. They have created a big audience that always turns out for every damn election and the liberals are from Milwaukee & Dane county they are going to get roasted

It's a challenge, no doubt about it.

That said, the fact that the court, however it is constituted, will deal w/the abortion ban means that as an issue pulling people who might not always vote in the spring elections and generally swaying independents and mod Republicans toward a more liberal Judicial candidate, there's cause for hope.

As we've seen elsewhere when abortion is DIRECTLY on the ballot, all the RW radio in the world doesn't push support for abortion bans into the majority.

@CLManussier the Wisconsin Dem party has improved considerably since Ben took over, but, they still seem to make a lot of strategic errors.
I’m in Madison and we turn out in droves, our neighbor teams are solid for get out the vote

Yeah, those changes don't happen overnight. Massive progress under Ben's leadership, but really building out the culture of a regular cadre of street-level volunteers takes a while. Madison/Dane was ALWAYS a really organized and dedicated situation. Emulating that everywhere else is a slow process. It's getting there, though!

@CLManussier oh I think Ben & crew have done great reinvigorating the neighborhood teams, I travels the state a bit working with the Wisconsin progressive alliance & indivisible, good work on that score, candidate choice, well, Ugg. Yes there are a lot of factors but state parties vary in how much effort and where the focus effort for candidate recruitment and so far not a fan

It's a start, and VERY glad to see it. But, as with all organizational overhauls, not all parts will progress at the same pace. There are, I'm sure, also, people who have been accustomed to doing things their own way who resist change.

I think it's come a long way, but yes, still much to do.
