Since SCOTUS is now the ultimate arbiter of what constitutes "clean" water, how about they get to drink whatever they deem "clean". Daily.

@Boyceaz That would fit perfectly with my views on power and accountability:

Having power should not be an easy or safe thing; the
societal consequences of one's decisions should be mirrored, as much as is possible, so the personal consequences for the decision-maker match the societal consequences.

Rule that clean water standards are illegal? Then you should have to drink water outside those standards. Rule that a company should be allowed to emit a chemical? You should be exposed to it.

@Boyceaz That makes it personal - the true gravity of every single decision an official makes becomes apparent to them, because they will have to live with consequences that, inasmuch as possible, convey the impact on society at large.

I believe power should be a terrible curse - it should be painful, difficult, dangerous, and require continual personal sacrifices. I also believe having power and having certain rights (eg: personal privacy) should be mutually exclusive to a significant extent.
