My weekly letter to Arizona's senior Senator sinema.senate.gov/contact

Former Democratic Senator Sinema:

I write today to insist that you examine the state of contemporary politics and do what is right: resign.

I think it's time that Arizona had two serious people as Senator. Arizona is a serious state with serious problems in the areas of education funding, voting rights, climate change, and senior care. We need leadership at the federal level in order to address these problems and get the help we need. By turning your back on the Democratic Party you have inhibited your ability to help your state and left us with only one serious Senator to shoulder the burden of governance.

If you were to do as I suggest and resign, the state of Arizona will be much better served by the replacement Governor Hobbs picks. So please, if you care about your state and its people, move on to another role that is more deserving of your hijinks.

I call upon you today to resign immediately. The people of Arizona require a champion who will fight like hell to solve our serious problems; you have shown yourself to be woefully unserious.
