Senator "I Love the Poorly Educated":

Higher education in America is an awful value proposition. College costs ten times what it did when I went to school and job placement is worse. Salaries are worse for new college grads in comparison to the rest of the population than they were when I graduated, and the terms of student loans are predatory and and much worse than my peers endured when I went to school.

That said, a broad high-quality college education for students that want it and are capable is a net benefit for society; college-educated citizens are more involved in their communities, more likely to vote, and less likely to believe the lies that Republicans repeat about voter fraud, climate change, and socialism.

Yet you sided this week with these same Republicans to prevent President Biden from providing some minimal relief to college students who have been victimized by predatory lenders and Republican legislatures that have worked steadily for decades to destroy the state college system. Shame on you. Yet again you let down your constituents in a case where you no longer stand to benefit; your education in the Arizona state college system is long over.

Democracy, however, calls upon you to make things better going forward. Instead, you say "I got mine" and "nope" on out of good governance. You are the worst.

Today I call upon you to aid the college students of Arizona in the best way possible: resign your Senate seat immediately, and enable the governor to replace you with someone with a conscience.

Get out of office. Do it for the students, do it for Arizona, do it now.
