Senator "Won't Protect Arizona's Environment":
The GOP are well-known environmental scoff-laws. It surprises no one when they attempt to sell off our national forests, drill for oil in protected coastal regions, and pollute the air we all must breathe. But you used to call yourself an "environmentalist"; this week you showed us where your loyalties lie. You chose development over Arizona's fragile waterways. You must resign.
Arizona elected you as a Democrat. We specifically elected you to support Democratic ideals, Democratic causes, and to vote for Democratic bills. As shameful as your lack of support for mainstream Democratic legislation (e.g. the minimum wage hike (curtsy), the hike in the capital gains tax rate, the ending of the filibuster, and the John Lewis Voting Right Act) is, joining Republicans this week to vote rescind pollution protections for Arizona's ephemeral waterways is a bridge too far.
We've had it, and our support for you has ended.
I call upon you today to resign immediately. Arizona requires a champion who will fight like hell to preserve the environment; you have shown yourself to be woefully lacking.
And while you're at it, take down your "Act Blue" fundraising page. You're no Democrat, you don't belong there.
