Is there a way to increase the width of a column? I tire of messages scrolling down as I read. If the column was wider it would persist on the screen a tad longer...
@Boyceaz You can pause the scrolling at any time. Just drag the column down a wee bit.. eeither by dragging the actual column at the top... or the scroll bar. That will pause it, then read what you want, you can scroll down to stuff that went before.
When you're ready to re-start, click the home icon (on the left of the Community Firehose label a the top of the coilumn), or drag the spacer icon in the vertical scroll bar right back up to the top. The firehose will start scrolling again
@Pat_Walrond Thanks. I was hoping for something more passive. My mouse hand gets tired. Home button is a good put, though.

@Boyceaz Ouch! I see your problem. Once you pause the firehose though, you can navigate it by using the up/down arrow on your keyboard.
If it doesn't move, click the mouse in the column to make sure the focus IS on the column... should at least take some of the stress off your mouse hand - hopefully!
@Pat_Walrond Arrow keys are a real help! Thanks. Alas, I've given up on the firehose; just looking for a better way to navigate the Friends feed.
