I watched Downsizing last night. With Jason Sudekis, Kristen Wiig and Maribeth Monroe in it, I thought it would be a comedy, it wasn’t. Then I thought it was social commentary and they would strive to fix the income inequality. It didn’t. Then it was a film about how humans will go extinct. None of the pieces quite worked. Maybe if the concept was a tv series they could explore all three things it wanted to be.

@DaisyMcDuck was that Matt Damon? Terrible movie. So disappointing

@BosFanTina yeah he was in it too. It was so disappointing. I just kept waiting for it to get to its point.

@DaisyMcDuck it looked funny from the trailer and it was depressing more then anything

@BosFanTina soooo depressing. And it’s ironic because I have been so depressed lately that I was hoping for something a little more fun. That fun movie was in there somewhere. I think if he wants to do all of those stories, it needed to be a series.

@DaisyMcDuck a series could have worked. Or even a sequel

@BosFanTina the good place showed one can do comedy with high level criticisms of society, so a limited episode limited run series is how I’d envision it.
