@BookWorm33333 This bill is even more horrific than it sounds, because it allows FL to kidnap a child if *anyone* in the family is receiving gender-affirming care.

Under this law, FL could invoke TN authorities to kidnap my daughter because *I* am trans.

@lenaoflune @BookWorm33333 I believe I saw it also arrests any affirming parent for child engagement

@lenaoflune @BookWorm33333 oh, it's more than even THAT. ANY parent can kidnap their child *under SUSPICION of gender affirming care*. It doesn't even have to be happening. All one has to do is make the CLAIM. And it strips jurisdiction from other states.

If mom makes a post supporting trans rights on social media? BAM. Justification.

Hire a PI, gather left-leaning dirt, BAM. Kid's yours.

Queer? ...

@silent_dystopia @BookWorm33333 It's nightmarish. And patently unconstitutional, but will a federal judge actually stop any kidnappings?

I wish I had the confidence to say "yes." :(

@lenaoflune @BookWorm33333 a federal judge in florida? who believes the trans panic? absolutely would allow kidnappings for the "safety" of the child, particularly if the father's the one what done it.

birds of a shriveled white testicle gather together

@BookWorm33333 The velocity of laws against the human rights of trans people is frightening. It's not about trans people really - it's a wedge to push Americans towards fascism. Fight back. This will not end well for anyone.

FL and TX are in a pell mell race to the fkn 1700s.
