@Bobbelieu i have a problem with roadside shrines to accident victims. my state used to mark them with a white cross, but that was just to call attention to the huge numbers of deadly accidents on certain roads. using a cross was... less than great.
but when friends & family pile on balloons, toys, solar lighting, decorated Christmas trees... i think it's getting a wee bit too close to a distraction to other drivers than a "memorial" (which, um, shouldn't that be at the grave?)
