I lost my reply to my self. Anyway, yesterday I called my mom on FaceTime and she was with caregiver #2. The amazing memories we chatted about last week were gone and she didn't know who I was, but she guessed I was one of my 3 nieces. The perception of my age and the link between my name and who I am were not there either. The jarring disconnection with the past because of the absence of anyone or anything familiar around her, was extremely painful to for me to experience 😞 2/

Update #1621 : For the first time, today (I guess yesterday here in the east), my mother had NO clue who I was 😰. She has 2 caregivers, one has been close to my family for 30+ years, the other lady has been with her about 3 months and they alternate every other week. Last week she had digestive issues, so a doctor came to see her and I tried to FaceTime with them (mom and caregiver) for a couple of hours each day. This weekend was the new lady's turn, and my mom was acting super confused 🫤 1/
