Ok folks, I have a musical itch that must be scratched.
The two songs I know of that scratch this itch are Ain’t No Grave and God’s Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash.
Dark western country gothic music? Looking around brings up stuff that is either too upbeat, too… bright (Not deep and dark enough?) or too… complicated (too much going on, bad mixing, etc)
I need more. It doesn’t have to be religious but I’m willing to listen to religious stuff if that’s what it takes to find more.
@GlytchMeister It looks like someone put together an album called 'Dark Country' they're newer artists, I mean, they're no Johnny Cash, but it has a little bit of the grit you might be looking for. Like sand in a wad of bubblegum.
